2019 Ford Endeavour (Everest) Officially Unveiled; Gets New Engine

The Ford Endeavour facelift will first go on sale in the Australian market by the end of this year, followed by other ASEAN markets.

American automaker, Ford has officially revealed the updated Endeavour (Everest) SUV. The Endeavour facelift will first go on sale in the Australian market by the end of this year, followed by other ASEAN markets. In India, the SUV is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2019.

The Endeavour facelift comes with subtle design upgrades and better equipped cabin. In terms of styling changes, the SUV gets new grille treatment, HID headlights, updated bumper and newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the SUV gets slightly revised interiors. It is equipped with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and in-built navigation system as standard. Adding to it, the cabin also has a new ebony dark colour scheme and more soft touch materials. The SUV is equipped with autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection as safety feature. The facelifted Ford Everest aka Endeavour is powered by an all-new 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which also powers the Ranger pickup truck. This engine offers two states of tunes – 180bhp/420Nm and 213bhp/500Nm. It is paired to an all-new 10-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is not likely to make its way to Indian market. Toyota Fortuner Vs Ford Endeavour

 

The India-spec Ford Endeavour SUV will continue with the existing set of engines. However, these engines will be tuned to meet the BS-VI emission norms that will be applied in 2020. The SUV will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and others in its category.
