In India, the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 could be priced around Rs 8.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 was first previewed at the 2017 Wheels & Waves show in Biarritz, France.
Ducati seems quite aggressive with its Indian operations. The Italy-based bikemaker introduced a bunch of new bikes in last few months including the Scrambler Cafe, Scrambler Desert Sled, etc. With an aim to further expand its Scrambler lineup, the company will introduce the new Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 special edition in the country. The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is essentially the cosmetically updated version of the regular Scrambler. The paint job on the Scrambler Mach 2.0 was done by the renowned American bike and riding gear expert – Roland Sands. The bike first broke cover at the 2017 Wheels & Waves show in Biarritz, France. The new Ducati bike sports a lower-mounted handlebar and neat tank graphics. The blacked engine, exhaust and cooling fins add more to its sporty appearance.
The list of standard features includes headlight with glass lens, LED light-guide and interchangeable aluminium cover, LED rear light with diffusion-light, LCD instruments with interchangeable aluminium cover, machine-finished aluminium belt covers and under-seat storage compartment with USB socket. The bike sits on tubular steel trellis frame, and runs on the spoked aluminium wheels shod with Pirelli MT 60 RS 110/80 R18 and 180/55 R17 front and rear tyres respectively. The suspension duties are taken care of by upside down Kayaba 41mm fork and Kayaba rear shock, pre-load and rebound adjustable unit. Source of the braking power is the 330mm front and 245mm rear disc units. Ducati offers ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard on the model lineup.
The new Ducati bike derives its power from an 803 cc L-Twin engine boosted with electronic fuel injection system. Delivering power to the wheels is a 6-speed gearbox. This motor pushes out a peak power of 73bhp against 67Nm of torque. Read – Volkswagen Mulls Sale of Ducati
Ducati India has confirmed that it will soon bring in the Scrambler Mach 2.0 in the country. Though, it hasn’t revealed the exact launch date. Reports suggest that it might go on sale in coming months.
The new Ducati Scrambler will be more expensive than the Ducati Full Throttle. It might come with a price tag of Rs 8.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
