Nissan that revived its low cost brand Datsun to capture market share in growing nations, is all set to unveil its all new car for Russian market on April 4th, 2014. Datsun has released a sketch and an animated video of the product, which look like a compact sedan.
If media reports to be believed, the compact sedan will be based on a Land Granta. The vehicle gets the familiar face, and it has already been spied fully undisguised in Russia. It is clear now that Datsun aims to develop vehicle using local components, instead of global products, which suits the taste of local market.
The new Datsun Granta-based sedan is expected to be priced around 380,000 rubles (approximately Rs. 7 lakh). It is expected to hit the Russian markets by the end of this year.
It is quite early to comment whether this compact car will make its entry to the Indian market or not, but seeing the growing demand for compact sedans the company might launch this vehicle.
