October 26, 2016 – Datsun redi Go Sport, a new entrant in the Indian market, has been receiving remarkable response across the nation. This limited edition has registered 1,000 units sales within the first month of its arrival. Considering the sterling response, Nissan’s low cost brand Datsun has announced an increase in the production of the redi Go Sport. The company will produce an additional 800 units of the car on monthly basis. Deliveries of the redi Go Sport will be commenced from next month.
Commenting on the same, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) said, “The Datsun redi-GO SPORT version has generated more demand than anticipated and we are happy to announce that the initially planned 1,000 units have been sold out in less than a month. To meet the high demand and delight our customers, we are announcing an increase in production of the car with a further 800 units,”.
Priced at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Datsun redi Go Sport limited edition was launched in the esteemed presence of the Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik in Delhi. She is also the new brand ambassador, and the first customer of the new Datsun redi GO Sport. This limited edition comes with nine new features, while the mechanics remains unchanged. Datsun redi GO Sport Price
The country’s first ‘Urban Cross’ is, currently, available in four trim levels within the price range of Rs 2.38 lakh to Rs 3.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While, the redi Go Sport limited edition is being offered on the top-spec ‘S’ variant at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

At the heart of the redi Go Sport edition is the same 800cc, 3-cylinder, DOHC petrol engine that also does duty in the regular car. This gasoline unit is capable of pushing out a maximum power of 53.2bhp at 5,678rpm and 72Nm of torque at 4,386rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-A modular platform, the redi GO Sport shares resemblance with the regular variant. On the outside, the redi Go Sport variant gets new theme grille red accents, theme wheel cover, sporty roof spoiler and sporty graphics. What add more to its appeal are the new strips on the hood. While the regular variant comes with a chrome strip around the front grille, the Sport model features black strip surrounding the front mesh grille.
Inside, the new redi Go sport welcomes you with a black interior, and features like new sporty dashboard, Bluetooth-enabled audio system with AUX and USB connectivity, rear parking sensors, remote keyless entry and front power windows. Driver side airbag comes as an optional offering. As far as dimensions go, the Redi GO sport measures 3,429mm in length, 1,560mm in width and 1,541mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,348mm. The small car offers a class-leading ground clearance of 185mm, and a boot space of 222-litres.
