Nissan low cost brand, Datsun is all set to launch its second vehicle Go+ MPV in the Indian car market. Based on the Go hatchback platform, the Go+ MPV is expected to be the country’s cheapest Multi-Purpose vehicle. Datsun Go+ MPV looks like a stretched version of the Go hatchback. It is a sub 4-metre car and share most of its styling cues with the Go. The MPV is 3,995mm long, 1635mm wide and 1,485mm tall, and it has a wheelbase of 2450mm. This size will help the company to enjoy the excise duty benefit available for vehicles under the sub-4 metre rule. Moreover, this model weighs only 794kg which makes it one of the lightest MPVs in the segment.

Adding to it, this model will be powered by the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that also powers the Go hatchback. The oil burner is likely to be powered by the 1.5-litre K9K engine that also does its duty in the Nissan Micra. The Indonesia model details have already been out, and it is interestingly priced at Rp 85 million (Rs. 4.42 lakh). This will surely give a competitive edge to Go+ MPV over its rivals including Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and soon to be launched Honda Mobilio. In India, it is likely to cost around Rs. 4.5-7 lakh.
