Datsun India will launch the Go hatchback in the country in 2014. The second product Go+ MPV is also based on Go platform, and is expected to be unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Meanwhile, Datsun’s Indonesian arm has posted a brochure of the MPV on its twitter page, giving some important information about the car.

The Go+ will be powered by the Nissan‘s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol mill that churns out a maximum power output of 68PS and 104Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The Go+ MPV will be a sub-4 metre car as it measures 3,995mm long, 1635mm wide and 1,485mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2450mm. It weights only 794kg, making it one of the lightest MPVs in the segment. With 1.2-litre engine and a sub-4 metre length, the MPV qualifies for the excise duty benefits.

Datsun Go MPV will come with ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear, and will ride on 13-inch steel wheels. No option of alloy wheels. The Go+ MPV will be made available in 5 shades- Reddish Gold, White Solid, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic and Black Solid. For Indonesian buyers, it will be priced under 100 million Rupiah (INR 5.27 lakh). In India, it will be manufactured at the Nissan’s Oragadam facility in Chennai.
