Nissan India is all set to launch the much anticipated Datsun Go hatchback in India tomorrow. Bookings for the hatchback have already commenced at a minimum token amount of Rs. 11,000. The deliveries for the hatchback will also start from tomorrow.
It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 3-4 lakh. If media reports to believe, the hatchback will come in three variants and will be offered in 4 exterior shades. The vehicle will compete against the likes of Maruti Alto L10, Hyundai Eon, Chevy’s Spark and others in the segment.
In terms of space, Datsun Go offers a spacious cabin to seat five adults comfortably. It is based on the old Micra platform; the Datsun Go measures 3785mm in length, 1635mm in width and 1485mm in height. It comes equipped with decent features such as front power windows, power steering, air conditioning and mobile docking station.
Under the hood, it gets the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 64bhp and 104Nm of torque. It returns an impressive fuel economy of 20.6kmpl. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five speed manual transmission gearbox.
