Datsun GO Cross Production Model Spotted

Datsun Go Cross India

Datsun GO Cross could be unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, followed by the launch.

Soon to be launched in Indonesia, the Datsun GO Cross recently caught on camera in its final production avatar. The new crossover is ready to make its global debut by the end of this year in Indonesia, while its India launch will happen sometime next year. The Japanese carmaker might put up the GO Cross for public display at the Delhi Auto Expo that will begin in the second week of February 2018.

The latest spy pictures reveal that the design and styling of the GO Cross will be inspired by the GO+ MPV. Though, the features such as silver finish on the front and rear bumpers and black cladding all around the body differentiate it from the GO+. In fact, the car also gets a roof spoiler. The crossover might also share its design bits with its younger sibling – GO hatchback. Read: Datsun redi-GO AMT – All You Need To Know

Similar to the GO+ MPV, the all-new GO Cross will come with seven-seats layout. The list of features might include a 6.9-inch touchscreen display, electrically adjustable wind mirrors (with manual folding), power windows with an auto up/down function, a manual AC unit and a rear wiper. The infotainment system will offer USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity features. Check Out – Datsun GO Live Concept Picture Gallery

Engine setup of the Indonesia-spec GO Cross will include a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol motor. In terms of power and torque, this gasoline unit delivers 68bhp and 104Nm respectively. The crossover could be brought either with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. The braking system of the car will include ventilated discs upfront and solid discs rear brakes. The ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) and brake assist will also be standard on the carline.

In India, the Datsun GO Cross will face challenge from multiple cars including Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Honda WR-V. It will also go up against the cross-hatchs such as the recently-launched Maruti CelerioX and Mahindra KUV100 NXT.
