Korean automaker, Hyundai will soon launch the updated Creta SUV in the Indian market. Hyundai dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the SUV. The new Creta will receive several changes both inside and outside. In terms of design changes, the SUV gets signature Hyundai grille, new bumper and new fog lamp assembly. The rear end sees subtle design changes in the form of new bumper and revised hatch lid with number plate. Adding to it, the Creta will be offered with sunroof.
The sunroof will be offered with the top-end SX (O) variant, which has been spotted. Inside the cabin, the SUV will receive new colour scheme for the dashboard, new upholstery for seats and updated infotainment system with connected car applications. Mechanically, the facelifted Hyundai Creta will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue with two diesel engines and one petrol engine. The gasoline version of the SUV is powered by a 1.6-litre unit that churns out a maximum power output of 121bhp and a peak torque of 151Nm. The diesel version of the Creta facelift will come with two engine options – 1.4-litre CRDi and 1.6-litre U2 CRDi. The smaller capacity engine is capable of producing 89bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.6-litre diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 126bhp and a peak torque of 260Nm. For transmission duties, the SUV will have a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque convertor. For passengers’ safety and security, the SUV will have dual front airbags and ABS as standard. The top-spec model will get 6-airbags.
