American two-wheeler maker, Cleveland CycleWerks has finally made its entry in the Indian two-wheeler market at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The company has introduced two of its globally popular bikes – Cleveland Ace and Cleveland Misfit. Cleveland has joined hands with Laish-Madison Werks for manufacturing service and ride experience. LMMW has a manufacturing plant in Telangana, near Hyderabad. The Cleveland Ace is a retro-class commuter with a scrambler variant.
Cleveland Ace Delux is propelled by a 229.5cc single-cylinder engine, which is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the new Ace Deluxe is equipped with aluminium wheels, inverted front forks, dual-purpose tires, wide bars, a flat seat and others. The motorcycle will directly rival the UM Renegade Commando and Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The Ace Deluxe scrambler is expected to be the most affordable bike in its league. The company is aiming to achieve aggressive pricing to locally develop this motorcycle. We believe that the bike could be priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh.

Powering the scrambler motorcycle is a single-cylinder 229.5cc carburettor engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 14.2PS and a peak torque of 16.5Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. This scrambler is claimed to have a top speed of around 112kmph. It will be equipped with telescopic forks for suspension duties.

Dimensionally, the new Cleveland Ace Deluxe scrambler is 1,950mm, 880mm and 1,142mm in length, width and height respectively. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,325mm, which ensures comfortable seat for pillion and rider. The motorcycle has a wet weight of 126kgs.

The company claims that the Ace Scrambler is a great commuter and perfect product for city rides and occasional short highway touring. Featuring classic motorcycle, the bike gets many upgraded features such as front forks with old school fork gators. Feature list include vented wave front rotor with single piston caliper, aluminium wheels, inverted forks, raised front fender, wide bars, dual surface tires and a flat seat. The comfortable seat height and ergonomic rider position gives it a modern look.
