Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the much-awaited Pulsar 200 SS sports bike in coming weeks. The affordable bike has been spotted quite a few times; and now the new set of images of the production ready model has surfaced on the interweb.
The new Pulsar 200 SS is based on the 200 NS model, and this fully faired sports bike will be powered by a liquid cool 200cc engine. This engine also powers the Pulsar 200 NS, and is capable of developing a top power output of 23.52PS and a peak torque of 18.Nm. The affordable sports bike will gain weight, and the company is likely to tweak the engine to maintain the performance and efficiency.
Talking about styling, the Pulsar 200 SS shares its design cues with the Pulsar 400 SS concept which was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The sports bike is equipped with features including clip-on handle bars, dual-projector headlamps, short side-slung exhaust, new tank and others.
Moreover, the company is also planning to add ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) variant alongside the non-ABS model. This affordable sports bike is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.2-1.5 lakh.
