Citroen C3 Launch In June 2022 – Tata Punch Fighter

Citroen C3, the second offering from the French automaker, is ready to hit Indian roads in June 2022. With sporty styling and interior comfort, the model will target the mid-hatch segment. It’s estimated to be priced competitively, thanks to its heavily localized CMP platform that involves over 90 percent locally sourced components.

The same architecture will also underpin the upcoming Jeep sub-4 metre SUV. Interestingly, the C3 will be the first Citroen to come under the brand’s C-cubed prorgramme.

Citroen C3 Engine Specs

Touted as a “hatchback with a twist”, the C3 measures 3.98-metre in length and has a high ground clearance, raised bonnet and elevated seating position. Upfront, the hatch carries Citroen’s signature double-slat grille connecting the split LED headlamps. The flared wheel arches and black cladding all-around enhance its SUV-ish looks. The carmaker might offer it in dual-tone colour schemes along with multiple monotone options.

The upcoming Citroen C3 is claimed to provide largest leg room in the segment. Its boot space stands at 315-litres. The hatch offers a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a digital instrument cluster. The dashboard has textured panel running across its width. There is a flat-bottom steering with mounted controls. Official feature details of the new Citroen small car will be revealed next month.

Citroen C3 Interior Spied

We got to know that the C3 will be made available with 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated and 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine options. While the former will make power around 80bhp, the latter will deliver 108bhp and 128bhp. The naturally aspirated unit could be offered with manual gearbox only, while the turbo petrol motor can be had with either a manual or an automatic transmission.

Prices of the new Citroen small car are expected to start from Rs 5.5 lakh and go up to Rs 8 lakh. In this price range, it will go head-to-head against the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Its lower variants will take on the cars like Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
