The model is ready to make its debut on 29th September 2022 and its market launch is likely to happen in early 2023. The fresh image shows the front fascia of the electric hatchback.  The C3 electric will be designed on the eCMP platform borrowed from its ICE sibling. The architecture can accommodate a battery pack and an electric motor. The recently unveiled Jeep Avenger compact SUV underpins the same modular platform. Most of its features and cabin layout are likely to be similar to the petrol-powered C3. The latter comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, AC unit, front power windows with one-touch down for driver, remote locking, tilt adjustable steering, steering mounted controls, door ajar warning, speed sensitive auto door lock and dual airbags.

The Citroen C3 EV will come under the company’s C-Cubed programme that means it will be engineered and produced in India. With heavily localized platform and sharing its features and components with its ICE sibling, the C3 electric hatch is expected to cost around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). If launched at this price point, it will face challenge from the Tata Tiago EV that will go on sale on 28th September 2022.
