We reported earlier that General Motors will launch the updated versions of the Sail twins in the Indian car market in September. Now, the company has officially announced that the facelifted Sail sedan and hatchback would go on sale on September 24.
Both vehicles are expected to get subtle changes to exteriors to keep things fresh. However, the majority of the upgrades are likely to be given to the interiors of the cars. It is expected that the dashboard will get a new dual tone scheme (Black and Beige). The air conditioning vents and gear lever are likely to get chrome surrounds. The company has also teased few interiors parts of the cars, which indicates that the vehicle would get added features. Both cars will get Icy Blue Illumination in Audio and instrument cluster, Bluetooth enabled 2-DIN audio system, backlit power window switches and Golden Bowtie on Steering wheel.
The exterior likely to get slightly modified front grille, chrome surrounds for the fog lamps, slightly revised alloy wheels and a chrome strip on the rear. Under the hood, the Sail twins will continue to feature the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre multi-jet motor. While the gasoline motor produces 85bhp and 113Nm of torque, the oil burner develops 77bhp and 205Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The prices are likely to remain unchanged.
