Chevrolet Cruze sedan gets minor update in India

General Motors India has silently launched the updated version of the Chevrolet Cruze in the Indian car market. The Cruze was first updated in October last year, which got an updated front fascia and two more airbags that adds more to its safety quotient.

This time, the updated Cruze sedan comes with a turn indicators on the wing mirrors. Rest the vehicle look identical to its previous model. According to Indian Autos Blog, the automatic variant of the Cruze sedan gets more fuel efficient. It now returns an impressive 16.8kmpl of mileage, an improvement of .5kmpl. This could be the move to improve the sales of the automatic variant of the sedan in the Indian car market.

Since it’s just a minor facelift, there are no mechanical changes given to the car. Powering the Cruze, the sedan has 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 164bhp and 380Nm of top torque. Available in three trim levels- the base LT manual transmission is priced at Rs. 13.7 lakh, the top spec LTZ manual at Rs. 15.19 lakh and the LTZ AT costs Rs. 16.19 lakh.
