3. Mahindra KUV100 NXT
Mahindra KUV100 is one of the best-selling Mahindra cars that comes a starting price of Rs. 5.52 lakh (diesel), ex-showroom New Delhi. This price tag makes it one of the cheapest diesel cars in India. Powering the diesel version of the car is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged common-rail mFalcon D75 engine. This motor delivers a maximum power output of 77bhp at 3,750rpm and 190Nm of torque between 1,750rpm – 2,250rpm. It has capability to return a mileage of 25.32kmpl.
Mahindra’s smallest SUV received its first upgrade in October, 2017. The updated model of the SUV receives new front bumper, revised headlamps, XUV500-insipred grille, plastic cladding around the fog lamps and a faux skid plate finished in brushed aluminium at the front end. Other design updates include new alloy wheels, slightly revised ORVMs, re-designed rear bumper and new clear lens taillights with chrome bezels inside. All black interior with brushed silver inserts looks more upmarket. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with audio and navigation system.
