Both the Maruti Baleno automatic variants are powered by a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine that is coupled to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. This power mill serves a maximum power of 84bhp at 6,000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.

Priced at Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Figo automatic comes as an affordable option for urban buyers who are looking for hassle-free day-to-day driving machine. Powering the Figo automatic variant is a 1.5-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engine coupled to a 6-speed PowerShift automatic gearbox. It is capable to produce 99bhp of power against 215Nm of torque.
10. Honda Jazz
Launched in July 2015, the Honda Jazz has been generating a decent volume for the Japanese carmaker. Unlike the previous generation, the new Jazz comes with an all-new design, efficient engines and affordable price range. Currently, there are two automatic variants of the hatchback – S AT & V AT – available with the petrol engine option. The former is available at Rs 7.34 lakh, while the latter one is priced at Rs 8.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering both the variants is a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is good for 89bhp and 110Nm. This powertrain coordinates with a CVT automatic gearbox with paddler-siffters.
