India’s leading automaker, Maruti Suzuki India has launched the CelerioX priced at Rs 4.57 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The sportier version of the Maruti’s B segment hatchback, CelerioX is available with manual and AMT options in VXi, VXi (O), ZXi and ZX(O) trims with prices going up to Rs 5.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The plastic cladding on side body, rear bumper and skid plates accentuates the sporty flair and injects aggression to its overall appearance. Use of high gloss black accentuation on grille, fog garnish, clads, roof garnish and interior add to its visual appeal. It additionally comes with a new blacked-out B-pillar on the outside.
First launched in 2014, the Celerio hatchback was the first model in India to get an AMT unit and gained popularity soon after its official launch in the country. Changes to the interior are prominent with an all-black scheme paired with white accents for a sportier look. Splashes of orange can also be seen on the black seat trims. Safety kit comprises standard driver-side airbags, driver side seat belt reminder, whereas passenger side airbags and ABS are offered as optional across line-up. The CelerioX derives power from the 1.0-litre K10B petrol unit with 67bhp power and 90Nm torque. It gets a choice between a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT gearbox.
