Top 5 Upcoming Cars Under Rs 6 Lakh

Despite the growing popularity of SUVs and premium cars in the country, the entry-level segments still continue to dominate the Indian automobile market. Credit for this goes to several capable entry-level models that have been launched in the country at regular intervals. In the last 2-3 years, we have seen some highly successful entry-level products including the Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, etc.

If you are planning to buy a car under Rs 6 lakh this year, here’s our list of top 5 of them –

Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling hatchback – Wagon R – is all set to enter its new-generation towards the end of this year. The hatchback’s new model (Suzuki Wagon R) is already on sale in the Japanese market, and the India-spec model could take a bit of its design inspiration from that. The 2017 Wagon R will continue to carry its tall-boy design with significant cosmetic updates. The interior, too, will be more feature-rich and practical than the current model. Though the engine details are yet to be revealed, it is likely to come with the same 1.0L K-Series petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual and an AGS (Auto GearShift) gearbox.

Expected Launch – Second half of 2017
