Sitting on a tubular steel, dual-cradle frame, the BSA Gold Star 650 derives its power from a 652cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine. The unit has DOHC setup and it returns a claimed power of 45bhp at 6,000rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Its engine is said to build torque from as low as 1,800rpm and offer a healthy flow throughout the rev range. This helps it deliver “effortless cruising and bursts of acceleration when needed”. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed unit.
