BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 Launched; Priced at Rs 66,430

Yamaha Motor Company today rolled out the BS6-compliant Yamaha Fascino 125 scooter in the country. The new model has been made available in four variants – Std Drum, Std Disc, DLX Drum and DLX Disc – priced at Rs 66,430, Rs 68,930, Rs 67,430 and Rs 69,930 respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. The BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 has received noticeable cosmetic changes and mechanical updates. The black elements on grab rails, wheels and other plastic panels enhance its sporty look.

You can also notice the subtle chrome treatment in the middle. Ditching the conventional under seat fuel fillers, the vehicle comes with an external fuel filler. In order to meet the upcoming BS6 emission standards, the Japanese two-wheeler maker has boosted its engine with fuel injection technology. The BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 sources its power from the 125cc, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 8.2PS. It’s claimed to deliver a mileage of 58kmpl, which 16% better than the 113cc model. The BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 runs on a larger 12-inch front and a smaller 10-inch rear alloy wheels. It has a kerb weight of 99kgs, thus making it 4kgs lighter than 113cc model. For performing braking duties, the scooter gets disc brake upfront and drum brake at the rear end along with the Unified braking system (UBS). Sitting on underbone chassis, the new Fascino comes with the same telescopic fork front and unit swing rear suspension setup.

Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Drum variants are available in Metallic Black, Matte Blue and Cyan Blue colours. The Yamha Fascino 125 FI Disc, on the other hand, comes in Vivid Red, Metallic Black, Yellow Cocktail, Matte Blue and Cyan Blue paint schemes. All variants of the scooter are also offered in two special shades – Dark Matte Blue and Suave Copper.
