BS6 Volkswagen Polo Petrol Official Mileage Figures Out
In March 2020, Volkswagen India rolled out the BS6-compliant Polo hatchback and Vento sedan with petrol engines. The BS6 Volkswagen Polo has been made available with two powertrains – the naturally aspirated 1.0L, 3-cylinder MPI and 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI turbocharged unit. While the former makes a peak power of 76PS at 6,200rpm and 95Nm of torque between 2,9500rpm – 3,800rpm, the latter one delivers 110PS at 5,000rpm-5,500rpm and 175Nm of torque at 1,750rpm – 4,000rpm.
The hatchback lineup comes with three gearbox options – 5-speed manual (1.0L MPI petrol only), a 6-speed manual (1.0L TSI petrol) and a 6-speed automatic (1.0L TSI petrol). Now, the carmaker has revealed mileage figures of the BS6 Volkswagen Polo. The 1.0L MPI petrol model returns a claimed fuel economy of 17.75kmpl and the 1.0L TSI petrol variant promises 18.24kmpl. The fuel efficiency of the 1.0L TSI AT is yet to be revealed.
The BS6 Volkswagen Polo hatchback lineup is available in three trims – Trend Line, Comfort Line Plus and HighLine Plus. Prices of the MPI petrol variants start from Rs 5.83 lakh and go up to Rs 8.02 lakh. The HighLine Plus TSI manual and automatic petrol models are prices at Rs 8.02 lakh and Rs 9.12 lakh respectively. Recently, the German carmaker introduced the Tiguan AllSpace 7-seater SUV and T-Roc SUV in the country. In the coming months, the company will bring in the Volkswagen Taigun compact SVU that made its debut at this year’s Auto Expo. The vehicle will be offered with two petrol engines – a 115bhp, 1.0L turbo and a 148bhp, 1.5L. There will be three gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and a 7-speed DSG automatic.
