BS6 Toyota Fortuner Launched; Prices Remain Same
The Japanese carmaker has silently launched the BS6 Toyota Fortuner in the country. Interestingly, prices of the updated model remain unchanged. Similar to the old BS4 version, the BS6-compliant model comes in the price range of Rs 28.18 lakh – Rs 33.95 lakh. There are four diesel variants 4X2 manual, 4X2 automatic, 4X4 manual and 4X4 automatic are priced at Rs 30.19 lakh, Rs 32.05 lakh, Rs 32.16 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The BS6 Toyota Fortuner comes with the same 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engine options. While the former delivers a maximum power of 164bhp with 245Nm of torque, the latter one pushes out a peak power of 174bhp and 450Nm of torque. Read – Toyota Vellfire MPV Details Revealed Ahead of Launch
The gasoline unit is paired to a 5-speed manual and the oil burner is hooked with a 6-speed manual gearbox. A 6-speed automatic gearbox is offered only on the 4X4 trims. No other changes have been made to the BS6 Toyota Fortuner.
The fully-fledged SUV will soon receive a mid-life update in the country. Recently, a heavily camouflaged Toyota Fortuner facelift was caught testing in Thailand. The updated model features a revised front grille and bumper that look inspired by the new-generation Toyota RAV4 SUV that sold in global markets.
The SUV might also receive revised bumper, new fog lamps, new plastic cladding across the body, new taillamps, an updated infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, new seat upholstery and more.
