BS6 Suzuki Motorcycle Range Unveiled At Auto Expo 2020
Suzuki Motorcycle India has revealed its BS6-compliant range at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. The Japanese bikemaker has showcased the BS6 Suzuki Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer and Gixxer SF 150, Intruder, Access 125 and Burgman scooter along with the Burgman MotoGP Edition. Prices of the updated models are yet to be revealed.
The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF receive new exhaust system and ECU (engine control unit) making them comply the new stringent emission norms. The updated model delivers a peak power of 13.6bhp and a peak torque of 13.8Nm. While the power output has been increased, the torque output is slightly reduced.
Similar changes have been made to the BS6 Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250. Both motorcycles deliver power worth 26.5bhp with 22.2Nm of torque. While the power figure remains unchanged, the torque output has been reduced by 0.4Nm. The BS6 Gixxer 250 and SF 250 will see a release in March, 2020.
The BS6 Suzuki Intruder has also been updated with the new ignition system, ECU and exhaust. As of now, the power and torque figures are unknown. The updated Intruder will go on sale before the implementation of the BS6 emission norms (i.e. April 1, 2020).
The Japanese bikemaker hasn’t yet revealed the details of the BS6 Suzuki Burgman scooter. Though, it’s confirmed to hit showrooms in mid February. Alongside, the company showcased the Suzuki Burgman MotoGP Edition along with Suzuki Katana motorcycle and BS6 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT with a new colour.
