In March 2020, Suzuki Motorcycle India rolled out the new Gixxer and Gixxer SF with BS6-compliant engine. While the former is being made available at Rs 1.11 lakh, the latter one comes with a price tag of Rs 1.21 lakh. The model lineup also includes BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition priced at Rs 1.22 lakh. In May 2020, the Japanese bikemaker introduced the BS6-compliant Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition at Rs 1.74 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

Now, the company has increased prices of the updated Gixxer SF, Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition. After the price hike, the BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF costs Rs 1.13 lakh (which is around 2,041 higher than before). This makes the Gixxer SF the most expensive bike in its category. The Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition are now available at Rs 1.76 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
Powering the updated Gixxer SF is the BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel-injected motor pushes out a peak power of 13.6bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6,000rpm. Compared to its BS4 version that was good for 14.1bhp and 14Nm, the updated motor is slightly less powerful and torqueier. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 comes with a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine deliver 26.5bhp and 22.2Nm of torque.
In other news, the Japanese two-wheeler maker is working on a new Suzuki Intruder 250cc cruiser motorcycle. Its leaked patent images reveal that the bike’s exhaust system will feature a single header pipe with a catalytic convertor. It has a dual barrel setup along with features such as a simple muffler design. Its engine details are still under the wraps. Though, reports suggest that the new Suzuki Intruder 250 cruiser will source its power from the 249cc, single-cylinder engine borrowed from the Gixxer 250.
