BS6 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 Launched

Royal Enfield has finally launched the BS6-compliant version of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. Both motorcycles have witnessed a price hike of up to Rs 9,000. The BS6 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been priced from Rs 2.64 lakh to Rs 2.85 lakh. While the Silver Spectre, Mark Three and Orange Crush shade models cost Rs 2.64 lakh, the dual-tone Ravishing Red and Baker Express are priced at Rs 2.72 lakh. Talking about the BS6 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, the bike has been offered in the price range of Rs 2.80 lakh – Rs 3.01 lakh. The Ventura Blue and Black Magic colour models are priced at Rs 2.80 lakh, while Ice Queen White and Dr Mayhem carry a price tag of Rs 2.88 lakh. The Mister Clean (chrome) is available at Rs 3.01 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai. Delivers of the BS6 Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are being delivered in batches. Official bookings have already been commenced across the nation.

BS6 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

Both motorcycles derive power from the BS6-compliant 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine with a fuel injection technology. The updated motor delivers a claimed power of 46.8bhp at 7150rpm, which is slightly lower than its BS4 version. The torque figure, however, remains unchanged. No other changes have been made to the BS6 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and BS6 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. Suspension setup of the 650 twins include telescopic front fork and twin gas charged rear shock absorbers units. The bikes source their braking power from the same 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes. Both models continue to come with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
