The new Royal Enfield Himalayan will use the BS6-compliant version of the existing 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine hooked to a 5-speed gearbox. In its BS4 form, the motor delivers a maximum power of 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque.
Besides this, the BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan is reported to get switchable ABS (anti-lock braking system) that usually offered on the performance or ADVs bikes. This system locks up wheel and helps the bike to slide in the dirt by turning off the rear ABS.
The new Himalayan might also get hazard warning lights that warn road users and other motorists that the vehicle could be a hazard for them. The spy pictures reveal that the BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan will receive a larger windscreen and a twin-pod instrument cluster.
The bike might also come with 19-inch front wheel with a 100 section MRF Meteor tyres. The existing model rides on 90/90-21 front and 120/90-17 rear tyres with spoke wheels.
