It’s the same gasoline motor that does duty in the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift. The petrol engine delivers a claimed power of 103bhp at 6,000rpm against a peak torque of 138Nm at 4,400rpm. The crossover will be offered with a 5-speed manual (standard) and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox option. The BS4 1.3L diesel engine, that’s good enough for 89bhp and 200Nm, will be discontinued from the model lineup.

In coming months, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will also bring in the 2020 Maruti Swift facelift with new Dualjet petrol engine. It’s the same powertrain that was recently introduced in the updated Dzire. The BS6-compliant 1.2L Dualjet motor generates a peak power of 90bhp thus making it more powerful than the existing 82PS, 1.2L K12B petrol motor. It will also make the Swift more fuel economical than before.
