BS6 Maruti Ciaz Launched; Gets A New S Sport Variant
Maruti Suzuki India has rolled out the BS6-compliant version of the Ciaz mid-size sedan. Along with that, the carmaker has added a new top-end variant to the sedan lineup called – Maruti Ciaz S. The BS6 Maruti Ciaz comes in the four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – priced from Rs 8.3 lakh to Rs 11.09 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. It’s the company’s 11th BS-compliant model.

Talking about the Maruti Ciaz S, the new variant looks sportier than the regular models. Painted in dual-tone shade, the new model features multi-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels in dark finish. The dark black treatment on the ORVM cover, trunk lid spoiler, side and rear under body spoilers and front fog lamp garnish further enhance its sporty appeal.
The all-black interior of the Maruti Ciaz S with silver accents on the instrument panel and door trim add a premium touch. Similar to the regular Alpha trim, the new sporty variant comes equipped with SmartPlay infotainment system with a touchscreen, leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, chrome door handles and 195/55 R16 tyres. The new sporty variant comes in a choice of 3 colour schemes – Pearl Snow White, Premium Silver and Sangria Red. Powering the BS6 Maruti Ciaz is the 1.5L K-Series SHVS petrol engine that’s good enough for 103bhp and 138Nm of torque.

The BS6 Maruti Ciaz petrol with a manual transmission delivers a mileage of 21.56kmpl and 20.28kmpl with an automatic gearbox. One must note that the BS6 Maruti Ciaz lineup isn’t available with diesel powertrain.
