In April, the home-grown carmaker might bring in the more powerful, sportier version of the XUV300. Called Mahindra XUV300 Sportz, the model was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo. It will be the first vehicle to feature Mahindra’s 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo mStallion petrol engine. The gasoline motor produces a peak power of 130bhp and 230Nm of torque, thus making it the most powerful petrol car in its category.
The Mahindra XUV300 electric SUV will also hit our shores in late 2021. To be placed against the Tata Nexon EV, the XUV300 EV will be offered with two battery options – 40kWh and 60kWh. Its long-range version will deliver an electric range of over 370km.
