BS6 Mahindra XUV300 Diesel Prices Revealed

In December 2019, Mahindra & Mahindra rolled out the BS6-compliant petrol version of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. Now, the prices of the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 diesel have been revealed. Similar to the BS4 version, the upgraded BS6-complaint diesel model has been priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 12.69 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

The W8 AMT diesel variant has been scrapped out from the SUV lineup. Now, the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 diesel includes four manual (W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O)) and two AMT variants (W6 and W8 (O)).

At the heart of the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 diesel is the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder oil burner. Its BS4 version returns a claimed power of 115bhp at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm-2500rom. No other changes are likely to be made on the SUV. Features such as heated wing mirrors, powered sunroof, 17-inch diamond cut alloys, auto dimming rear view mirror, leatherette upholstery, second row seat belt reminder, three point seatbelt for middle rear seat, knee, curtain and side airbags, front parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system will be reserved for the W8 (O) trim.

Mahindra XUV300 Electric SUV

In April, the home-grown carmaker might bring in the more powerful, sportier version of the XUV300. Called Mahindra XUV300 Sportz, the model was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo. It will be the first vehicle to feature Mahindra’s 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo mStallion petrol engine. The gasoline motor produces a peak power of 130bhp and 230Nm of torque, thus making it the most powerful petrol car in its category.

The Mahindra XUV300 electric SUV will also hit our shores in late 2021. To be placed against the Tata Nexon EV, the XUV300 EV will be offered with two battery options – 40kWh and 60kWh. Its long-range version will deliver an electric range of over 370km.
