BS6 Mahindra XUV300 Diesel Officially Launched at Same Price

Prices of the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 have been officially revealed by the carmaker. Similar to the previous model, it comes in four trims – W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) – priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 12.69 lakh (all, ex-showroom). That means, no changes have been to its prices. Powering the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 diesel is the updated 1.5L oil burner. The power and torque figures are yet to be revealed by the carmaker. Though, it’s likely to remain unchanged. In its BS4 form, the motor delivers a maximum power of 110PS and a peak torque of 170Nm. It continues to come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) options.

Similar to its petrol counterpart, the BS6 Mahindra XUV300 diesel comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, rain sensing wipers, a sunroof, cruise control, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD and other features.

In coming months, the home-grown carmaker will bring in the BS6-compliant version of the Mahindra XUV500 and Mahindra Scorpio SUVs. The company is also working on new-generation models of both the products, which are likely to hit showrooms sometime next year. Before that, Mahindra will introduce the new-generation Thar with comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades along with a new petrol engine.

The Mahindra XUV300 Sportz, the more powerful version of the compact SUV, will also see a release in coming months. It will be the brand’s first model to be built on the Made-in-India MESA platform and the most powerful SUV in its segment. It will be packed with the 1.2L mStallion turbo petrol engine that’s good for 130bhp and 230Nm. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be on offer.
