BS6 Mahindra Scorpio Coming Soon
Mahindra & Mahindra has begun testing the BS6-compliant version of the Scorpio SUV. The spotted model is likely to feature the BS6-ready 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker will make changes to the existing oil burner in order to make it meet the upcoming emission norms that are set to come into place from 1st April, 2020. With the BS6 update, the Mahindra Scorpio might witness a minor price hike. Currently, the SUV comes in 7 variants and 5 trims – S3, S5, S7, S9 and S11 – priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 16.63 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi). The 4WD (four-wheel-drive) is exclusively offered on the S11 trim.
Amid of auto slowdown, the carmaker is offering massive discounts on its models including the Mahindra Scorpio. Buyers can avail maximum benefits of Rs 88,000 on the Scorpio. The SUV’s S5 and S7 trims can be had with a cash discount of Rs 20,000 and 35,000 respectively.
Both variants are also available with an exchange offer of Rs 30,000, corporate discount of Rs 5,000 and accessories worth Rs 10,000. The Mahindra Scorpio S9 and S11 variants are being offered with a cash discount of Rs 39,000, an exchange offer of Rs 34,000, corporate discount of Rs 5,000 and accessories worth Rs 10,000.
Mahindra Scorpio is ready to enter into its new-generation with comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades. The SUV will also receive a new 2.0L diesel engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new-generation Scorpio might debut at the Auto Expo in February, 2020.
