Homegrown UV maker, Mahindra has silently launched the new BS6-compliant Marazzo MPV. The BS6 Mahindra Marazzo is available in 3 variants – M2, M4+ and M6+ – priced at Rs 11.25 lakh, Rs 12.37 lakh and Rs 13.51 lakh respectively. With BS6 upgrade, Mahindra has discontinued the top-spec M8 variant.

The BS6 Mahindra Marazzo is available in 5 exterior colour options – Mariner Maroon, Iceberg White, Shimmering Silver, Oceanic Black and Aqua Marine. While the M2 and M4+ variants ride on 16-inch wheels shod with 215/65 section tyres, the M6+ variant gets 17-inch wheels wrapped in 215/60 section tyres.

Mahindra Marazzo Waiting Period

Powering the BS6 compliant Mahindra Marazzo is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 121bhp at 3,500rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm between 1,750-2,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. In terms of proportions, the BS6 Mahindra Marazzo is 4,585mm in length, 1,866mm in width and 1,774mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,760mm. The MPV gets 60:40 split, 1 touch tumbler and flat fold second-row bench seat. The design of the BS6 Marazzo looks similar to the BS4 version.

The MPV is equipped with features like lumbar support for the driver and co-driver seats, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic AC, follow-me-home headlamps and front and rear fog lamps. It is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation and rear parking camera. As the top-end M8 variant has been removed, the BS6 Marazzo lacks some of the high-end features. The M8 variant was equipped with leather upholstery for seats, cooled glove box, cruise control, and electrically foldable wing mirrors.

Mahindra Marazzo Petrol Launch

Mahindra is also readying the petrol version of the Marazzo MPV, which is expected to be launched in the coming months. This model is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that made its debut at the Auto Expo 2020. It is capable of producing 163bhp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
