BS6 Jeep Compass SUV Lineup Revised

A few days back, we have reported that Jeep India is planning to bring in 3 new SUVs in the country. The lineup will include the Compass facelift, a new 7-seater SUV and a sub-4 meter SUV. The updated version of the Compass is scheduled to hit showrooms early next year. Ahead of its official launch, the carmaker has revised the existing variant list of the BS6 Jeep Compass.

Now, the SUV is available in five trims – Sport Plus, Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited Plus and Limited Plus 4X4. Prices of the BS6 Jeep Compass start from Rs 16.49 lakh and go up to Rs 24.99 lakh. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk range remains unchanged. It continues to come in two variants – 4X4 and 4X4 (O) – priced at Rs 26.80 lakh and Rs 27.60 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The list of standard features includes 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, black fabric upholstery with Cattle tan stitching, four disc brakes, reverse park assist sensors, electronic parking brake, traction control, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags. Features such as automatic headlamps, LED taillamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual tone roof, panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, electrochromic auto dimming IRVM, leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and Ski-Grey leather upholstery with Ruby Red stitching are reversed for the top-end Limited Plus trim.

Jeep Compass Diesel Automtic

Engine setup of the BS6 Jeep Compass includes a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor. The gasoline unit delivers power worth 160bhp and 260Nm of peak torque and the oil burner delivers 173bhp against 350Nm of peak torque. The SUV comes with two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed automatic unit. It also gets Jeep’s terrain response system along with three driving modes – Snow, Sand and Rock.
