Classic Legends has revealed prices and specifications of the BS6-compliant Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty-Two motorcycles. Compared to their BS4 version, the updated BS6 model is slightly less powerful and heavier. The BS6 Jawa motorcycles use the same 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that now meets the new emission standards. The updated motor makes a peak power of 26.1bhp and a maximum torque of 27.05Nm. Its BS4 version was good enough for 27bhp and 28Nm of toque.
With an extra 2kgs, the BS6 Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty-Two now weigh 172kg. Both models come with single-channel and dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking) system. The new Jawa Classic single-channel ABS has been priced from Rs 1.73 lakh (Black and Grey) to Rs 1.74 lakh (Maroon). Its dual-channel ABS variants can be had between Rs 1.82 lakh (Black and Grey) – Rs 1.83 lakh (Maroon).
The BS6 Jawa Forty-Two single-channel ABS models are available in the price range of Rs 1.60 lakh – Rs 1.65 lakh. Its dual-channel ABS variants, on the other hand, cost between Rs 1.69 lakh – Rs 1.74 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. That said, the BS6 models are Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,9928 more expensive than their BS4 versions. No other changes have been made to the BS6-compliant Jawas.
