The new BS6 petrol engine will come as a replacement to the existing BS4 1.4L and 1.6L petrol engines that deliver 100bhp and 123bhp respectively. The BS6 Hyundai Verna might also share the BS6-compliant 1.5L diesel engine with the Kia Seltos. Though, it will be made available with the launch of 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift that’s due for early next year.
The BS6 Hyundai Verna diesel is likely to be launched after April, 2020 when the BS6 emission norms will be enforced. The new oil burner will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox as we have seen in the Kia Seltos.
Talking about the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift, the updated model will receive significant changes inside and out. In Chinese market, it has been made available with a 99.66PS, 1.4L petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
