Honda 2Wheelers recently rolled out its first BS6-ready vehicle – Honda Activa 125. Now, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer gets ICAT certification for the Honda CB Shine 125 motorcycle. The leaked document confirms that the commuter will witness minor power bump along with some dimensional changes.

The BS6 Honda CB Shine 125 will use the same 124.73cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that will be upgraded to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. It will produce a maximum power of 10.88bhp instead of the existing 10.31bhp.

The commuter will also be benefited with EFI (electronic fuel injection) technology that will ensure smooth throttle response. For performing transmission duties, there will be a 5-speed gearbox. The updated version will measure 2020mm in length, 785mm in width and 1103mm in height with a wheelbase of 1285mm. That means, it will be 13mm longer, 23mm wider and 13mm taller than the existing one. The weight of the BS6 Honda CB Shine 125 could also be increased marginally.

The BS6 Honda CB Shine 125 could be priced slightly premium than its BS4 version. Currently, the bike comes in four variants – Drum, Drum CBS, Disc and Disc CBS – priced at Rs 63857, Rs 65579, Rs 66343 and Rs 69497 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
