BS6 Hero Super Splendor Priced at Rs 67,300; Gets More Power, New Colour
Hero MotoCorp today rolled out the BS6 Hero Super Splendor commuter in the country. The bike has been made available in two variants – Self Drum Alloy wheel and Self Disc Alloy wheel. While the former comes with a price tag of Rs 67,300, the latter is priced at Rs 70,800. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Claimed to be “more capable than ever”, the new BS6 Hero Super Splendor derives its power from an all-new 125cc PFI (Programmed Fuel Injection) engine boosted with XSens technology. The power output of the bike has been increased by 19%. Now, the motor pumps out a peak power of 10.73bhp at 7,500rpm against a peak torque of 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm.
Transmission duties are done by a new 5-speed gearbox. Hero’s i3S technology automatically switches off the engine when not required and turns it on when you press the clutch. Built on an all-new chassis, the BS6 Hero Super Splendor ensures “greater maneuverability and a plush ride”. In fact, the ground clearance has also been increased by 30mm. The bike’s 45mm longer seat ensures more comfortable ride. The BS6 Hero Super Splendor gets 240mm front disc brakes for the first time. The new Super Splendor looks more refreshing, thanks to its chrome elements, bold flowing lines and dual-tone paint schemes. There is an all-new Metallic Nexus Blue shade along with the three more colour options – Candy Blazing Red, Glaze Black and Heavy Grey.
