BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart Gets Expensive By Rs 2,200
In November last year, the home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer introduced the BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 commuter at Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, the company has increased its price by Rs 2,200. That means, the commuter now can be had at Rs 67,100. The Splendor Plus and Super Splendor are continued to offered at Rs 59,600 and Rs 67,300 respectively.
For power, the BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart uses the new BS6-compliant 113.2cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine instead of the old 109.15cc carbureted unit. The new motor returns a claimed power of 9.1bhp at 7,500rpm and a maximum torque of 9.89Nm at 5,500rpm. While the power figure has witnessed a marginal decline, the torque output has been increased by 10%.
The bike has been boosted with idle start-stop system (i3S) that helps improve its fuel efficiency. It comes in three colour options – Force Silver & Heavy Grey, Techno Blue & Black and Sports Red & Black. Compared to its BS4 version, the BS6-compliant model carries a larger fuel tank and headlamp with better illumination. Read – Hero Xtreme 160R Launch Likely in April 2020
