BS6 Hero HF Deluxe Kick-Start Affordable Variants Launched
Hero MotoCorp has introduced the BS6-compliant HF Deluxe commuter with kick start system instead of the electric start feature. The updated lineup comes in two variants – spoke wheel and alloy wheel – priced at Rs 46,800 and Rs 47,800 respectively. The kick start variants of the BS6 Hero HF Deluxe are more affordable (around Rs 9,875) than its self-start version that was launched early this year.
Engine specifications of the new model remain unchanged. The BS6 Hero HF Deluxe kick-start variants come with the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder engine. The air-cooled motor, with a SOHC arrangement, delivers a peak power of 8.36bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The powertrain is benefited with Hero MotoCorp’s Xsens technology with programmed fuel injection that enhances its performance and fuel efficiency.
Hero claims that the BS6-compliant version of the engine accelerates 6% faster than its BS4 version. While its power figure has been slightly reduced, the torque output remains unchanged. Suspension setup of the commuter consists of the conventional telescopic forks up front and 2-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are done by 130mm drum front and rear brakes.
