Currently, the compact SUV comes with three, BS4-compliant engines – a 1.5L TDCi diesel, a 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol and a 1.0L EcoBoost petrol. The American carmaker will upgrade the 1.5L TDCi diesel and 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol powertrains to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. While the former makes a top power of 100bhp with 205Nm of torque, the latter delivers 123bhp with 150Nm of torque.

The diesel variants get a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the petrol models can be had either with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Reports suggest that the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine will be discontinued as its BS6 upgrade cost will be high and demand is relatively low. This turbocharged motor pushes out a maximum power of 123bhp against 170Nm of torque. Read – Made-In-India Ford Figo Gets 4 Star Crash Rating In Latin NCAP
