BS6 Bajaj Platina Price

Bajaj Auto has rolled out the BS6-compliant version of its two commuters – Platina and CT 100. The BS6 Bajaj Platina comes in two variants – kick start and electric start – priced at Rs 47,264 and Rs 54,797 respectively. The BS6 Bajaj CT 100 has been made available at Rs 40,794, thus making it over Rs 7,000 more expensive than the old model. All prices are ex-showroom. Both BS6 models received fuel injection technology along with the updated exhaust system. The BS6 Bajaj CT 100 also gets the black finishing on the chain cover, engine casing and fork instead of the silver finish. Visually, the updated version of the commuter looks exactly similar to the old one.

The BS6 Bajaj CT 100 uses the 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine pushing out power around 7.7bhp and 8Nm of torque. The commuter has a 4-speed gearbox. The same engine powers the BS6 Bajaj Platina. Read – Bajaj Avenger 700 In The Works?

The bikemaker claims that the Bajaj Platina offers some best-in-segment features including H Gear system, anti-skid braking system, tubeless tyres, nitrox suspension and quilt-stitched seat. The Bajaj CT 100, on the other hand, comes with the hydraulic telescopic 125mm travel upfront and SNS 100mm wheel travel rear suspension setup.

Commenting on the launch, Sarang Kanade, President (Motorcycles), Bajaj Auto Ltd said, “The introduction of these models begins the transition of our product range to BS6 norms. Bajaj Auto has scaled up their line-up of BS6 compliant vehicles and will make BS6 bikes available in the other models too in the next few weeks.”

Talking about Bajaj’s future plan, the Pune-based two-wheeler maker is working on an all-new 200cc motorcycle that will be designed and developed in collaboration with Triumph. Both companies will also develop multiple motorcycles ranging from 200cc to 750cc. Production of these bikes will take place at Bajaj’s Chakan based plant.
