BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched; Gets Pricier By Rs 1,749
Bajaj Auto has launched the BS6-compliant Dominar 400 in the country. The updated model has been priced at Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus making it Rs 1,749 more expensive than its BS4 version. The BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 uses the same 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection technology. Interestingly, no changes have been made to its power and torque figures. Similar to its BS4 version, the BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 promises a peak power of 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque. The bike also gets heavier by 3kg. Now, its kerb weight stands at 187kg. It comes equipped with 43mm USD telescopic front forks and multi-step adjustable monoshock with Nitrox suspension unit at the rear. Braking power comes from the same 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes. The ABS (anti-lock braking system) is standard across the range.
No changes have been made to its dimensions as well. The updated model measures 2156mm in length, 836mm in width and 1112mm in height with a wheelbase of 1453mm. The bike continues to come in two colour options – Vine Black and Aurora Green.
Recently, the bikemaker introduced the Bajaj Dominar 250 at Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike sources its power from a 248.8cc, single-cylinder fuel injected engine pushing out a peak power of 27bhp and 23.5Nm of torque. Visually, it looks similar to its bigger capacity sibling. Though, the Dominar 250 stands on 17-inch wheels with 100/80 front and 110/70 section rear tyres.
