BMW X7 SUV Launched In India At Rs 98.90 Lakh
BMW today launched the all-new X7 SUV in the country. Positioned above the X5, the BMW X7 comes in two variants – xDrive40i and xDrive30d DPE Signature – priced at Rs 98.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). While the former derives its power from a 3.0L, straight-six, turbocharged petrol engine, that latter one uses a 3.0L, straight-six turbocharged diesel motor.
Both powertrains get an 8-speed automatic gearbox along with BMW’s xDrive four-wheel drive system. The gasoline unit pushes out a peak power of 340bhp and 450Nm of torque and the oil burner delivers 265bhp with 620Nm of torque.

In India, the xDrive40i variant will come via CBU route and the xDrive30d DPE Signature trim will be assembled locally. The carmaker has also confirmed that it will bring in a top-end, high-performance variant of the SUV – BMW X7 M50d – to take on the Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz GLS. It will come with a 3.0L in-line, 6-cylinder, quad turbocharged diesel engine generating 400bhp and 760Nm of torque.
BMW X7 is the company’s first SUV to offer three rows of seats, in 6 and 7 seats configurations. While the petrol model can be had either with the 6-seats or 7-seats layout, the diesel version is available with 6-seats configuration only.
Some of its key features include BMW’s Laserlight headlamps, a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity and gesture control funtion, five-zone climate control, a digital instrument cluster, reclining function for all-three rows, ambient lighting and park assist.
