The BMW X1 sDrive20i petrol is available only on the xLine Design trim.
BMW India has added a new petrol variant to its entry-level X1 SUV lineup, priced at Rs 37.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Called the BMW X1 sDrive20i, the new petrol version is available only on the mid-level xLine Design trim. Similar to the diesel variants, the new petrol model is produced locally at BMW’s Chennai based plant. In India, the BMW X1 takes on the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q3.
Powering the new BMW X1 sDrive20i petrol model is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine, which is compliant to the upcoming BSVI emission norms. This gasoline unit is tuned for producing a maximum power of 189bhp against 280Nm of torque between 1340rpm-4600rpm.
Transmission on offer is a 7-speed Steptronic sport automatic dual-clutch unit. The BMW X1 sDrive20i petrol can mark 0-100kmph in 7.6 seconds and is capable to attain a top speed of 224kmph. Check Out – 2018 BMW X3 Petrol Price & Pictures
Save for the badge, the BMW X1 sDrive20i appears exactly similar to the standard diesel model. It comes loaded with all the comfort and safety features offered on the xLine Design trim. The SUV gets a 16.5cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity along with BMW apps, park distance control, Bluetooth and USB support. At the safety front, the BMW X1 sDrive20i comes equipped with six airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Side-impact Protection and more.
