BMW M8 Coupe Launch Price in India Rs 2.15 Crore

BMW has finally launched the performance oriented M8 Coupe in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 2.15 Crore (ex-showroom), the all-new BMW M8 Coupe is the brand’s most powerful Coupe till date. The company has also introduced the 8 Series Gran Coupe, which is available in 2 variants – 840i and 840i M Sport – priced at Rs 1.30 crore and Rs 1.55 crore respectively.

Powering the BMW M8 Coupe is a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, which also powers the M8 GTE race car. The race-derived V8 engine churns out a maximum power output of 600bhp and a peak torque of 750Nm at 1,800 – 5,600 rpm. This engine is paired to an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with Drivelogic. The power is transmitted to the road via the M-spec xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

The BMW M8 Coupe is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 3.3 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. It features the Adaptive M Suspension system that enables individual response behavior for each wheel at the touch of button. Using the Driving Experience Control, the driver is able to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions (Comfort, Sport, Sport+).

The BMW M8 Coupe is equipped with a host of ConnectedDrive technologies such as BMW Gesture Control, BMW Head-up Display, BMW Display Key, Wireless Charging, Wireless Apple CarPlay. It gets 3D Navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display behind the steering wheel and a 10.25-inch control display. Similar to the Gran Coupe, the M8 Coupe gets Sport Automatic Transmission, Auto Start-Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration, Electronic Power Steering, etc. In terms of safety, the M8 Coupe gets six airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control, traction control, ABS, electronic parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, etc.

In terms of styling, the BMW M8 Coupe gets large air-intakes, prominent M-double bar kidney grille, flared wheel arches, black-chrome gills on the side and the duck lip spoiler. At the back, the Gran Coupe gets imposing rear diffuser with quad-exhaust. It gets double-bubble CRPF roof as standard and M Carbon exterior package as optional.
