BMW G310 R And G310 GS Will Have A Long Waiting Period – Report

BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS are reported to have a waiting period of two to three months.

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch its two entry-level performance motorcycles in India – the G 310 R and G 310 GS. Bookings for both the bikes have already been commenced, and the launch is scheduled to happen on July 18, 2018. According to a fresh report, the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS will command a waiting period of two to three months with the first day of their delivery. While there is no official word about delivery date of the bikes, it is reported to begin from November, 2018.

While the BMW G310 R is a street naked bike, the G310 GS is an adventure tourer. Though, both the bikes share their platform and engine. There is a 313cc, single-cylinder motor paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This liquid-cooled unit delivers power worth 34bhp at 9,500rpm against a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm.

Compared to the BMW G 310 R, the BMW G 310 GS gets a longer travel suspension. The former features inverted telescopic forks up front and rear monoshock absorbers suspension unit, the latter one gets upside-down 41mm fork and monoshock with adjustable preload at the front and rear axles respectively. The performance bikes shares lots of design elements such as headlight, radiator shrouds, handlbar, instrument cluster and stubby front break. Though, the adventure tourer gets dual sport tyres and a small windscreen at the front end. The company will also offer an array of accessories with both the motorcycles.
