The new 310cc motorcycle will be the part of BMW’s ‘Smart cc bikes’, which will be sold through BMW Motorrad’s dealership network

We informed you earlier that BMW will launch the long-awaited G 310R naked and G 310 GS adventure motorcycles in the Indian market this year. The company was busy in setting up new dealerships before introducing these two bikes in the market. While the launch details are yet to be announced, a latest media report claims that both the bikes will be launched in India in July 2018. The report further suggests that BMW will appoint an Executive Sales Lead and two sales representatives to each dealership. The new executives will handle the upcoming ‘Smart cc’ class of motorcycles. Adding to it, sales and service training sessions for the motorcycles are expected to be held between June 22-29, 2018. For people not in the known, TVS and BMW together develop these two new motorcycles. The Apache RR 310 fully-faired motorcycle is also based on the G 310 R naked sibling platform. Both bikes are powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the TVS Apache RR 310. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 34bhp at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.

BMW had unveiled the G 310 R streetfighter and G 310 GS adventure motorcycles were unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The company had launched the 750 GS and 850 GS adventure bikes at the 2018 Auto Expo.
