BMW G310 RR Fully-Faired Motorcycle To Launch On July 15

BMW Motorrad India has released a new teaser showing a new motorcycle, which is scheduled to be launched on July 15 , 2022. The teaser image suggests that the new motorcycle could be the fully-faired motorcycle based on the TVS Apache RR310.

The teaser reveals the dual shark-fin LED tail-light of the new motorcycle. The tail-light design looks identical to the unit available on the RR310. Adding to it, the visor, clip-on handlebar, mirrors and grab rail design also shares similarities with the fully-faired Apache RR310.

It is expected that the new BMW motorcycle could be the re-badged RR310 with Motorrad paint job. The motorcycle could be called the new BMW G310 RR. The new BMW fully-faired motorcycle is likely to source the Bi-LED projector headlights and LED indicators with the RR310. Similar to the Apache BTO kit, the new BMW Motorrad G 310 RR will come with aggressive clip-on handlebar and foot pegs.

The new motorcycle is likely to use the trellis frame and subframe, which underpins the RR310. For suspension duties, the new fully-faired BMW motorcycle could get the adjustable USD front fork and the preload & rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking system will also be sourced from the Apache RR310.

The new BMW G310 RR is likely to get TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. It will also offer multiple riding modes – Rain, Urban, Sport and Track. The motorcycle will be powered by the same 312.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 34bhp of power at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm.

The BMW Motorrad currently offers two motorcycles – the G 310 R and the G 310 GS – priced at Rs 2.65 lakh and Rs 3.05 lakh respectively. It is expected the new motorcycle could cost around Rs 3 lakh, which will make it a direct rival the newly launched KTM RC 390 that costs Rs 3.14 lakh.
