The 2015 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift has been launched in Indian market today at a starting price of Rs. 1.14 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift is now available in two variants – BMW 640d Eminence and BMW 640d Design Pure Experience. While the former is priced at Rs. 1.14 crore, the latter is offered at Rs. 1. 21 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). To be brought via CBU route, the new 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift will take on the likes of Mercedes-Benz CLS Class and Audi A7. The car has received slightly exterior and interior updates, while the engine remains the same.
Coming to the design, the facelifted model features a radiator grille slats, air inlets surrounds , standard LED multibeam lights, LED fog lamps and modified front bumper on the front end. The other exterior updates include new 19-inches light alloy wheels, shadow line and dark chrome exhaust pipe, and revised rear bumper. The new 6 Series facelift is now offered in Alpine White non-metallic and several metallic paint options – Black Sapphire, Cashmere Silver, Space Grey, Jatoba, Mineral White, Melbourne Red, Glacier Silver and Mediterranean Blue.
Inside the cabin, the Coupe gets new Fineline Brown and Fine-wood Poplar Grain Grey trim options and a Head-up display (HUD). The standard Dakota and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery is now offered in Black and Ivory White color combination. The material quality, too, is better than before. Though, the interior design and fitments remain unchanged.
Under the hood, the 2015 6-Series facelift features a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, in-line diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 313bhp at 4, 400rpm and 630Nm of torque between 1, 500rpm – 2, 500rpm. This engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that enables the car to attain a top speed of 250kmph. The Coupe is capable to mark 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds. The acceleration performance of the car is further improved by xDrive all-wheel drive system that comes as a standard feature.
